Mark, Max and I visited some friends up in Lansing in July. My friend Suzy, her husband Gary, their son Ty, who is 6 months younger than Max, and some of Suzy's family. It was fabulous to see her parents, Glenn and Mary Ellen, as well as her brother and his family.

Suzy's neighborhood had a block party with a bounce house, sidewalk chalk and all sorts of other activities in addition to lots of tasty food. It did rain, but that meant the kids were able to have a warm bath together which was hilarious.

Max and Ty have hung a few times this summer and seem to have a good time. At that age it isn't so much playing together as taking one another's toys which is very amusing. One of the pictures below show Max trying to take one of Ty's toys and Ty cradling it out of reach with Suzy nearby as referee. I took a ton of photos, but unfortunately most of them had a crazy face, eyes closed, etc.
