Toys R Us

We took Max to Toys R Us and he had an amazing time. He played with a multitude of toys and was fairly well-behaved for such a zoo. Brilliant planners that we are, we went to the flagship store in Times Square and it was a mad-house on a cold, February, Saturday afternoon.

During our extravaganza, Max only knocked over two displays. I hear that is pretty good for this age. One was a small Pampers display...not too much damage. The other was an enormous toy car display in a high-traffic area that had the employees racing to clean it up. It was right after the drop off from the escalators and the back-up of people grumbling and moaning was quite hilarious...or embarrassing depending on how you look at it, right? Max was unfazed and tried to race off to the next toy.

We came prepared with our toy shopping list and left without any "impulse" buys, if you don't count Mark's purchase of Big League Chew -- remember that chewing gum? Not so tasty anymore, but Max enjoyed racing around holding it.

Anyhoo, we picked the toys to purchase for Max. He's too young to choose, or so we decided. The next post will show the main purchase. For now take a look at our shopping experience...notice my beginner skills at video editing and inserting placards.

Hey, the video is cool with the placards & such. Max looks like he had a riot! So, I'm waiting to see the next post with the "big purchase". I can only imagine what it is!
