Fun Family Visit

Max had 3 visitors from Michigan this past week-end. His Aunties Vickie and Vivian and his Uncle Mo (aka Don Mo) came to NYC for a nice, long visit. Action-packed is more like it. Max was out past 9 pm on two separate occasions...a late dinner at Big Nick's (Broadway/76th...the original) on Friday and a trip to the new Yankee Stadium on Tuesday. I must say he behaved like an energetic, well-behaved, slightly-hyper 2.5 year...translation as far as I'm concerned...he behaved like an angel!

On Saturday he came to Central Park and cheered his Mommy and Daddy on as they ran a race, embarrassingly slow...but hey, I did it!. On Sunday he attended the NYC International Auto Show with Daddy and Don Mo, then we all met up for a Thai lunch in Greenwich Village, then he went clubbing for the first time at Le Poisson Rouge in the Village for the monthly Baby Does Disco party for kids...so fun! After his club adventure he went to one of his favorite parks in the West Village and finally home.

No nap that day, but he was a superstar champ, incredibly well-behaved (as mentioned above)...especially compared to some of the hoity-toity parents at the park in the West Village. I could write a whole post about some of the parents and how rude they were to the other kids in the park, unbelievable! The one super-funny, crazy behavioral issue that day was an au naturele "pee" in the park. Max had to urinate and decided that all he needed to do was pull his pants down and tinkle in the sand. We got him to the edge of the park before he let loose and watered some flowers. I was laughing so hard I almost tinkled myself. I'm going to have to work on appropriate potty etiquette at the park with Max.

What a great visit, we miss you already!

Here are a few photos his cousin Ursula took at the club! Max had his face painted for the first time, and had a few (ok, more than a few) tattoos at the club too!
