Max's Evening in NYC

Max's second cousin Ursula took him out for several hours on Saturday, early evening. They took the bus (taxi's don't have or require child safety seats) to FAO Schwartz (toy store in NYC). Max, being the native New Yorker that he is, was able to point out the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue to Ursula who didn't know it was there. Max's Daddy was proud to hear about the Apple Store sighting as he is a big Mac fan. FAO is right next to the Apple Store, just across the street from the Plaza Hotel/Condo, Central Park and Bergdorf Goodman. Max swaggers around like he owns Fifth Avenue...ok, I'm not sure he did this with Ursula, but he did this with me the last time I took him to FAO. Anyway, they had a nice time at the toy store and she spoiled him with several toys. Then she took Max to a really nice restaurant, Rouge Tomate (sp?) on Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side. Ursula's friend is the pastry chef there so not only did they have a fabulous dinner of Risotto and Pasta, but also stellar dessert and the staff were extremely kind to the toddler who WASN'T screaming and yelling as could havve easily occurred. Ursula assured me that Max was extremely well-behaved throughout his evening excursion. Proud mommy smiling right now as I write!

He had a minor melt down at home as he is a tad sick right now with a bit of tummy trouble. But, other than him man-handling her during the bedtime routine, he was a superstar.

This morning, Max ran over to the third bedroom that we use for guests and knocked on the door calling out Ursula's name...he thought she had stayed the night...it was 6 am when he did this and I'm guessing Urs was glad she had not spend the night :-)

What were Mark and I doing as Max was out on the town...well we went to the Star Trek movie...in IMAX, really good!

THANKS URSULA!!!
