Ski Pine Knob

Max tried skiing again yesterday, February 8, 2010, at Pine Knob in Clarkston, MI. Super sunny, really nice day. His first experience was outside Las Vegas, NV at Mt. Charleston and when we drove up to Pine Knob yesterday he asked if the lift was "Rabbit Peak" which was the name of his lift out in Vegas. Funny he would remember the name of the lift. He also asked about Stu, his instructor from Vegas.

This time we had a much younger instructor, Michael. He looked about 15. No idea his real age. But, he was patient with Max and at the end Max said he wanted to go again, which I take as a good sign. Max did give Michael some challenges by acting like a slippery noodle several times when he fell down. When Michael tried to help Max back onto his ski's Max would simply slide back down. It was funny to watch, but I bet it tested Michael's patience a bit.

Max was also bummed he was denied the chair lift experience. Michael said the hill was much too steep. Max was not happy!

Max is in the red jacket and a bit shorter (just a bit of humor given the coach was so young).

Max's favorite position on the slopes...head down, knees crouched and ski as fast as I can down the hill even though I don't know how to stop!

"Look, I'm learning how to stop."

"Faster, please."

"Now this is great!"
