Max's First Snow Day

Max had a snow day, February 10, 2010, his very first of his school career. I remember snow days and weren't those just the best? His school had another snow day yesterday, February 22 but Max was in Vegas, swimming instead of sledding. Back to February 10th...on that fun, snow day we took Max out on the lake and played in the snow.

We made snow angels.

We tried to walk to the Island of Misfit Toys (an island on Orchard Lake that looks very close when you are walking on the ice, but looks can be deceiving), but Max declared the walk was "too far" and Daddy was just fine with that decision.

We prepared him with his snow tools; a sled, an igloo block maker and a snow ball maker.

The snow ball maker makes the most perfect snow balls!

Unfortunately, Daddy's aim was too good and Max was "refreshed" by a direct hit to the face...poor guy.

But, as you can see, no troubles!

In the end, Max rested in the sled while Daddy pulled him around.

Then, they came in for hot chocolate. The perfect snow day!
