Monster Trucks
Max's Aunt Vivian gave him Monster Truck show tickets as part of his Christmas present. The show was last night, January 14. Max did not know what a Monster Truck show was before he received the tickets. I had heard from other parents of boys that Monster Truck shows were very popular for boys. The Monster Truck phenomenon appears to be popular with a wide range of folks as we viewed last night from our 3rd row seats...thanks, Auntie Viv!
Monster Truck shows are REALLY loud. OMG! So loud. Max anticipated this event with a ton of excitement. And, even though he is still fighting a major cough we attended. He was excited to stay out late, in fact the show didn't start until his bedtime (7:30 pm), and that added to the appeal, along with the junk food, notice the snow cone, cotton candy and popcorn. It was downtown at Ford Field in Detroit and we let him pick a restaurant for dinner before the show and he picked sushi, for which, Daddy, Viv and I were grateful. Usually his picks relate to where he can get pancakes and syrup, mac n cheese or chicken. He still ordered chicken at the sushi restaurant...a chicken roll, but we were able to order all the stuff we like for us...yummy.
I have to say, I did not understand the appeal of the very loud, fuel smelling show. But, we stayed for about an hour and we did miss the part where they jump and crash...or so I'm told...so I should reserve my judgement.
Max enjoyed the experience and that was the best!
