Max and the NYC Parks
With the great weather, Max has been cruisin' the playground scene in NYC. He is partial to the playgrounds in Central Park, but has also been exploring those within Riverside Park. There are so many playgrounds for children in NYC and Max is definitely taking advantage of a bunch of them, venturing to new ones weekly. I took him to the 85th street park where he proceeded to test his throwing skills....with sand...oops! We are working on eliminating sand as a projectile option. While also at this park, we went down a double slide together and I fell flat on my butt and poor Max fell on his face. When we go down a double slide together, we hold hands...well, I was clearly going above the slide speed limit and tried to stop myself. In trying to do so, I attempted to use my hands. But, Max wouldn't let go of my hand as I was pulling it. Long story short, I accidentally pulled Max forward on the slide so that he was going face forward toward the end and landed on his face on the ground. Luckily no bruises or blood, just a big scare for Mommy and a bit of pain for Max.
The first photo is Max hanging...Papa was just below him in case he fell. And the rocking horse photo is from the 85th street park. No photo of the slide fiasco thank goodness!
