Big Nick's, Big Pizza, Big Max
This post is a little bit about a great restaurant (more like a serious dive) here in NYC. Max's Uncle Mo is somewhat obsessed with this place, loving their burgers and pizza. So, this video was a tribute to Don Mo's fav restaurant. The video is funny, but if you don't know the place and the backstory it is not as funny...so bear with me.
Most NYC pizza is very thin. The slices are obnoxiously big and extremely tasty. Some places are much better than others and I do admit that Big Nick's does have some tasty pizza.
We ordered from Big Nick's. This place is open 24 hours and is very reasonable if not downright cheap. Max eating the slice is hysterical as it is almost as big as him...and he had to take bites out of each of the other slices. And throw the wax paper on the floor...I remember cleaning the cheese off the floor. His using his shirt as his napkin is typical of a two-year old and we were prepared for the mess by dressing him in an outfit that was mismatched and crazy. You see, he had already had his bath for the night...I know, a bit out of order, but hey, it's what happened that night.
After tasting the slices, he closes the box of pizza and points to the box as if he is reading it and says "Big Pizza"...very funny (at least to us and those that know this restaurant). Max also demonstrates refined fine motor skills peeling the cheese off the wax paper and getting it to his mouth. This is what we call homeschooling in our home...just kidding! Throughout the video you can hear Mark giggling. I hope the video and story translate well...
