Summer Lovin' Happened So Fast

During summer camp Max made a few friends. But, a cute, little, blond girl named Darin was particularly sweet on Max. On the third or fourth day of summer camp, I was dropping Max off and a mom came up to the counselors and asked "who is Max". I looked up and said that I was Max's mom and Max was right here. She said that her daughter Darin could not stop talking about Max every night after summer camp. Each night after summer camp I would ask him to tell me about his day and he would talk about a girl, but I could not understand the name he was saying...maybe it was Darin or it could have been someone else...hopefully Max wasn't two-timing already...little heartbreaker.

Anyway, during the second week of camp, one of the counselors told me that Darin told her (the counselor, Rachel) that Max was her boyfriend. She laughed it off. But then, later that day she saw Darin ask Max to be her boyfriend and he agreed...they sealed it with a hug. On the last day of camp, Max and Darin hugged good-bye and it was the sweetest little sight you have ever seen!

But...thanks to mommy not being proactive, I forgot to ask Darin's mommy for her information to follow up with playdates for the two of them :-(
