The Cosmopolitan
Not the drink...although a drink looks like a nice idea at the pool area of the Cosmopolitan. Last time we were in Vegas, in mid-January 2011, we checked out the new hotel The Cosmopolitan. I don't know why I was thoroughly unimpressed with the idea of The Cosmopolitan. But, I was impressed with the common areas - shopping, restaurants and especially this pool area. We didn't check out the hotel rooms as we didn't stay there. But the pool area was very social with a lot to do...not so much swimming as with many of the other hotels lush tropical pools, more hanging out vs. laying out.
While we were there Max played Fooz Ball for the first time and we also played a bit of pool. We didn't swim as we didn't bring our suits to the hotel since we were just visiting. Max was interested in the big blue lounge chairs that were half in/half out of the water...very cool if you were laying out.
We did find out...the pool is open to the public through March 1st...or so the entry young lady told us. I'm told there are more or at least one more pool area at the Cosmopolitan...we didn't check that out, this one proved exciting enough for us that day.
