Water Everywhere

When we were in NYC last week, we had the opportunity to hit a few waterparks. One on the Hudson River, just west of Gansevoort St in the Meatpacking District and one at the Museum of Natural History on the Upper West Side.

Max's nanny/friend, Barbara, was able to join us with her new charge, Lila. Lila slept while Barbara and I caught up. Max was happy to see Barbara, but the water trumped Barbara during this time frame. Unfortunately I didn't time the visit that well as Max had only 45 minutes to play in this park and it was clearly not enough time for this guy!

When we visited the Museum of Natural History, they have a water section just outside the Rose Center for Earth and Space (check it out in the background...very pretty. I forgot to pack Max's swimsuit for this outing as I thought we were going to stay inside the museum (for mommy to take advantage of the air conditioning...the heat and humidity for horrendous during our trip), but when I remembered the water park, I thought I should let the water bug out. He was NOT happy about the underwear as swim trunks replacement and it took him a bit to warm up to the idea. He hasn't exhibited modesty as yet, but it was in full swing as I tried to convince him his cute little Small Paul green undies were just like a speedo. He didn't buy it, but decided the water was worth the loss of dignity.

Thanks Kristi. I agree, I can't believe the summer is almost over...crazy. And, we still haven't had a play date or gotten together. Maybe things will slow down for you in the fall. Us too!
