Star Ship NYC

During our trip to NYC a bit ago, Max, Mark and I were invited to lunch on a 143 foot yacht named Star Ship. This ship is nothing less than spectacular. When I heard the boat was so big, it didn't really register as I know little about boats and such. I was told the boat had a helicopter...ON it...and couldn't quite imagine how large this boat must be when faced with it in person.

It is big. Really, really big. And dazzling.

Mark understood the size of the ship and wisely advised me to have Max napped and "fresh" for the occasion. Luck was not on our side and despite a very good effort on my part, Max did not nap before our 1 pm lunch date on the Motor Yacht Star Ship. So, he was a bit frenzied during the tour and gave us a few heart palpitations getting too close to the art work, sculptures and figurines. But, Max did bless us with an hour nap ON the boat using a Star Ship blanket in one of the 5 bedrooms.

We were told by the owner (who is the one who invited us on the boat) that he charters the boat and various celebrities, including Beyonce and Jay Z, have charted the ship. I'm sure the crew must have some interesting stories to tell of the charters...but we weren't given any juicy details...bummer!

To cap off our day, we were delayed at LGA (New York's LaGuardia Airport) for three hours due to inclement weather...bummer.
