Mark was in Chicago for meetings this week-end and Max and I were on our own in NYC for a few days. Surprise, right? Actually, we are usually together as a family on the week-ends so it was a change of pace, especially for Max. We went out to eat a few times and these photos are on our way to these outings.

Max is obsessed with da-dee (he sounds like a little English boy when he says Daddy) right now and he is also obsessed with airplanes. He has been on them so much in his 2 years of life, but he finally seems to understand or maybe he is verbalizing it more..."hairpane". "I want to go on hairpane". "Daddy hairpane". He'll get in his travel stroller/carseat and try to buckle himself in and say "go hairpane".

He also seems to be missing his family in MI. We've been in MI so much over the last few months that he is calling that "home". "I want to go home on hairpane". Then he'll mention the various people he sees regularly "Bebe" - Mark's mom, "Ganma" - my mom, "Papa" - Mark's dad, "Honey" - my dad (my dad's nickname is Sonny and he heard my mom call him Sonny once and he's been "honey" every since). Adorable! "Nay, Nay" - Mark's sister Vivian...not sure how he got Nay, Nay out of Vivian. He can say Vickie and Don Mo very clearly. He also misses his cousins Loryn "Lorn" and Beth "Beff" and my sister Cathy "Caffy".

I digress...as I mentioned this week-end we went out to eat a few times and he is getting very particular with his clothes and hats. And, he has to wear his hats a particular way. It is not the same each time. Sometimes he likes his hat front facing and pulled way down over his eyes...he has to look up to see out from under the hat. Then other times he likes the hat back facing. In one of the pics he has his sweatshirt with a hood and he pulled that up all by himself. The photo with his baseball cap is a White Sox hat in honor of Mark being in Chicago. He has a few hats and I swear he picked the Chicago one specifically. Mark must have pointed to it and said he was going there or something as I know the boy can't read yet!

Also have a look at his new chuck taylors (sneaks)!

Enough babbling for tonight.
